Getting Started

This area of the KWALL knowledge base is intended to guide you through understanding the basic components, systems, terms, and use of the Drupal system.

Since Drupal is an open source project developed by a large community, the content is constantly in need of change. Expect to have your site operate slightly different than the descriptions, or development and implementation has derived from the core ideology but the overall concepts within this space would still pertain to your site.

If you understand most of the content in the navigation on the left, it should give you the capabilities to add and edit content and media on your site.

If you ever have issues, something in here isn't working - the Drupal system constantly changes. Best place to review is here: https://www.drupal.org/docs/8

Goals of this documentation:

  1. Give you the basic understanding of terms and operations of the system
  2. Allow you to manage the systems components and general content editing areas
  3. Allow you to add, remove, and edit content. Place it in a menu, and manage the components configured for you
  4. Add, edit, and remove media or files (PDFs, images, video, etc.)
